Wild Elephants are not leaving the village… the Forest Department is not paying attention.

Angul: Herds of wild elephants frequently come and play terror in Bouligarh, Santanapur ‘K’, Phulpada retreats under Baurpal block. People are afraid to leave their homes in the evening. Seeing the entrance of the elephants, the people were afraid to harvest. It has been alleged in general that the forest department is not looking into it. The herd of elephants does not leave the village and face the forest. People have complained that the forest department is unable to provide accurate information on the movement of elephants whether they are guarding the elephants or not.In the evening, common people live in fear. Common people have warned that if there is no immediate arrangement to drive away the elephants, there will be a fierce uprising in the coming days. People have appealed to the government to make special arrangements for the elephants and compensate them for the damages.
