6th Ganjam District Council meeting…. All-round development of the district is possible by acting in a single minded manner- Minister Bibhuti Jena
The sixth meeting of Ganjam District Council has been held on Wednesday at Rushikulya conference hall. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Council Chairperson Anjali Swain, all MLAs and two Ministers of the district including all ZP of the district were present and expressed their opinion that joint efforts of all are essential for the development of the district. Commerce and Transport and Mines and Steel Minister Vibhuti Bhushan Jena said in his speech that Ganjam district is the largest district of Odisha. This district will take the initiative in all areas and will progress towards the development of Odisha. It has been maintaining its reputation everywhere. This district can definitely progress if we work with one mind, ignoring the party opinion, towards the development of the district. It has become necessary for both the administrative officers and the people’s representatives to work by giving priority to the public opinion wherever there is a problem. So everyone called to work together. Fisheries & Small and Medium Enterprises Department Minister Gokulananda Mallik said that the development of our district is the development of our soil.
If you act with this thought in mind, the overall improvement of the district can be achieved. Ganjam District Collector Divya Jyoti Parida gave the initial information and expressed the opinion that the discussion regarding the development of all departments should be thoroughly discussed. Brahmapur MP Dr. Pradeep Kumar Panigarahi in his speech said that the district is ahead in the field of agriculture, sports, culture, social and economy. Due to administrative and political coordination, Ganjam district has gained fame in the country. Extension of National Highway, Coastal Highway, Railway from Gopalpur to Sambalpur, infrastructure development of Berhampur Medical College to improve the health sector wills double the development of the district. Aska MP Anita Shubhdharini said in her speech that the development of the district can be achieved if all the plans of the government can be reached at the grass root level. We can definitely achieve success if we all work in harmony and reach the basic needs of the masses.

Kabisuryanagar MLA Pratap Chandra Naik, Chikiti MLA Manoranjan Dyansamantray, Chhatrapur MLA Krishna Chandra Naik, Bhanjnagar MLA Pradyumna Kumar Naik, Aska MLA Saroj Kumar Padhi, Khallikot MLA Purnachandra Sethi, Sankhemundi MLA Ramesh Chandra Jena, Digaphandi MLA Sidhanta Mohapatra Soroda MLA Nilmani Bisoyi attended the meeting and asked everyone to unite and lead Ganjam district on the path of development regardless of party opinion. District Council Vice President S. Rajeshwari Dora said that there are many accidents on the national highway and loss of life and property. In order to avoid accidents, emphasis should be placed on the construction of underpasses and the shifting of power poles during road widening. District Council Chairperson Anjali said in her speech that last year Ganjam district was awarded as the best district in India. So everyone asked to focus on the development of the district. MS.Madhumita Panchayatiraj, District Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer, gave a detailed account of the programs undertaken by the Clean India Mission.

In the meeting, PMAY Mahatma Gandhi Guaranteed Employment Scheme, Roads and Buildings, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Irrigation, National Health Mission, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest Department, Soil Conservation, Social Welfare, Social Security Department, A detailed discussion was held on the development work done in the district by other departments. The meeting was attended by all the members of the district council, the officials of all the relevant departments. District Information and Public Relations Officer Ravi Narayan Behera conducted the forum. In the end, District Council Chairperson Smt. Swain thanked everyone for giving their valuable time to participate in the meeting and for ending it with peace and order.
